Vinyl Momograms

Image
I have done several of these and I am still dismayed by the way the Cricut glitter vinyl sticks. It always comes up in one or two places (as you can see in the photo). Bottom left and bottom of K. It looks fantastic, but doesn't stay for very long. I push it down repeatedly, but to no avail. I hope someone has some insider info that can help. Thanks for stopping by.

Today I a making some fall cards. I try to leave them blank, I can always add a sentiment later.  I really like the way this one turned out. I used Heartfelt creations dies and stamps for the flower, a Silhouette cut for the background and a concord & 9th die for the thank you.  I cut everything out of white paper and then add color from inks. I like being able to get just the right color. The background peper is from a DCWV fall stack. Hope you like this, I know I do. Eagle Scout

Image
Today I am getting ready for this weekend.  My grandson is receiving his Eagle Scout certificate.  We are haveing a big party and I make a card I found in the silhouette store #73859.  It turned out great and I hope he likes it.  My daughter and I are also doing stars and flags to put in mason jars for the tables.  Here is what the card looks like. Thanks for stopping by, hope you come again soon.

Feathers

Image
Today I thought I would work on my stach of male cards.  It has always been hard for me to put together something for a guy.  I like feathers; however, I just can't seem to get them the way I want.  I thought, breafly, that I would use real feathers.  I know I can find some down by the water, I see them all the time. Today I am going to use a file from Silhouette design #78354. I cut everything in white card stock and then color washed the background and used embossing powder on the foreground.  I like the way it turned out and hope you do too. Valentine Card 2

Image
Today I am making another valentine card. I got this one from the design store and then used digital paper from Miss Kate and 2 others. I have really been into using print and cut lately. I just like the way you can always find the right colors to fit my mood that day. I have several sets from Miss Kate. I took an envelope file and cut the top off, trimmed the sides, added color and then cut as 2 pieces.  I really like the way it turned out. Thanks for coming by, hope to see you again soon.  The Silhouette store file numbers are Card 176947, hearts 25254 and envelope 50777. Give Thanks

Image
Today I am working on my card for fall. I love this time of year, just like spring. Although it has very hot here for this time of year. I like this SU stamp set, full of blessings. I used a maple leaf design from the silhouette store, sorry I could not find the item number. I put a 4 x 5.25 card front on my mat and then subtracted the cut. I took the leaf cut and stamped my image and them popped it up with some mounting tape. The sentiment is also SU, hand-penned holidays. Of course I inked all the edges and added some imaginisce heat dots. Hope you enjoyed this card and come again soon to see what I am working on. Here is a different version of this card made into a shaker. Things with Wings

Image
Hello, Hello: It has been a long time since my last post. I have been very busy with the garden and grandchildren this spring and summer. Once the weather turned into the 100's the garden stopped making anything.  I have a lot of caned veggies for this winter. I hope to continue to work on getting my card stack built up.  I need to start on Christmas cards, hope to have one for you to look at tomorrow. So, I have turned back to crafting. I love making cards and seeing the persons face when the open it.  I found a few items in the design store and really liked the way they fit together.  I went with a single layer card and then added the retro circle frame (item 4279) and Mason jar (item 124055).  I had some butterfly stickers that added just the right touch. Thanks for stopping by hope you come again soon.  Challenges Entered: http://cardz4galz.blogspot.co.uk/2016/08/challenge-29-butterflies-or-dragonflies.html http://craftrocketchalle...

Teacher Gift cards

Image
This week I have been working on making some gift card holders for the grandkids teachers.   The holder is from the Silhouette store and the little owl is a Miss Kate Cuttables file. I put it all together and made it into a print and cut file. I filled it with “subway” gift cards.   Subway is always a hit, it is just down the street from the school. Hope you like it and will come again soon.   Challenges entered: http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.com/2015/06/challenge-149-anything-goes.html http://creativefingerschallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/challenge-82.html http://simplypapercraftsforalloccassions.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/challenge-6.html

Happy New Year

Image
I have a very cute card today, I made it for my sister. She doesn't do Christmas, so I wanted to make her something to ring in the new year. She moved this past summer, I don't get to see her as much as I used to. I used a design from Silhouette design store #53369 and a Miss Kate Cuttables file "banners set of 4". I wanted to write on the banner and so I used my Silhouette gold pen.  The card base is design #57422. You can't see it in this photo very well but I used glitter paper for the bubbly and a metallic paper for the background. I think this turned out super cute. Hope you like it and come again soon.  Challenges Entered: http://www.craftysentiments.blogspot.com/2016/01/anything-goes-challenge.html http://creativecardcrew.blogspot.com/2015/12/103-anything-goes_22.html http://lemonshortbreadchallenge.blogspot.nl/2016/01/challenge-6-anything-goes.html http://sweetstampsblog.blogspot.com/2016/01/january-anything-goes.html http://www.ttcrd.blogsp...

Today I am working on getting my stash of birthday cards increased.   I had a small box of them in the car, just in case I forgot one while I was out.   You will never guess…my husband thought it was a recycle item and put it in the dumpster. All that work gone, so I am working to replenish my supply. I used my silhouette to cut most of the elements, I even used it to pen the sentiment.   These flowers are given their shape by spraying 4 layers of different shapes with ink mist and them scrunching them up and, very gently, pulling them back out. They always look good. I added a little bling to the centers.   The background it a SU die. Hope you like it and will come again soon. Life just gets so hectic….It has been a while since my last post. I am trying to get in shape. I didn’t realize how much time that takes away from the other things I like to do in my “free time”.    Today I am posting a wonderful card that I made using a silhouette store design, and a sizzix daises 2 flower cut.   This flower has a large hole in the center, so I filled it with a SU brad. I added some bling on the cut sections of the card base. Yellow is my favorite color, so I added a piece of shimmer yellow paper, behind the design. This turned out nice. Hope you like it and will come again soon.     Challenges entered: http://www.4craftychicks.blogspot.com/ http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/ http://dianamlarson.blogspot.com/2015/01/dlart-january-linky-challenge.html http://scrap-craft-inspiration.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/challenge-1-anything-goes.html http://ema-ginationstation.blogspot.com/2015/01/ag-ch-18.html http:...

I saw this super cute card on the silhouette blog and just had to make it for a friend who is battling breast cancer. I used a pen to finish the banner, rather that print it. It turned out so cute. I had a chance to use up some small scrap pieces and had a time getting them on the mat in just the right location.  Hope you like this and will come again soon.     Challenges entered: http://pennyschallenges.blogspot.com/2014/10/welcome-to-pennys-challenge-199-and-dt.html http://www.hidinginmycraftroom.com/2014/10/himcr-169-super-scraps-saturday.html http://craftycardmakers.blogspot.com/2014/10/125-its-only-words.html

This week my granddaughter has wanted to make flowers. We found some awesome ones at Silhouette online store.  They are a little large; however,  they look great, and she is happy with them in a vase or her hair for school. We are working on some other ones and a vase we found. Hope to have them finished soon.  Hope you enjoyed looking at these and come again.

Today I am working on a scrapbook page from this summer.  The kids haven't has very many days in the pool, we have had a couple of mild weeks and the water hasn't had time to warm up. This is one of the good days. I have some other photos for the second page. These cuts are from the silhouette. I did them as a print and cut. The Good times label is from the Cricut Imagine. Hope you like it, come again soon. Today I am getting ready for my Mother’s day with a spring strawberry plant for the Silhouette store.  This turned out so cute, it only to me 3 hours to put together, of course a lot of that time is spent inking all the edges. I think my daughter will like it in her kitchen. I thought about putting candy in the pods, but thought the grand kids would take it apart too soon for her to get a good use out of it. Here is my list of items used: The paper is from a Stamp n Up. Real red and old olive are the two primary colors. The silhouette item for this plant is 57287; I went on Jamie Lane web site, Bits of Paper, to get the assembly instructions. I am entering this in a blog challenge: http://www.craftysentiments.blogspot.com/2014/05/anything-goes.html http://www.ttcrd.blogspot.com/2014/05/ttcrd-challenge-may-6-12.html http://simplychallengedchallenges.blogspot.com.au/2014/04/anything-goes-challenge-4-10-2014.html http://artisticinspirationschallenges.blogs...

I have a wonderful garden this year and have been spending lots of my time in it this spring. The only problem is we are not getting enough rain, so I am watering.  Keeping the weeds out has proven to be a chore. I did have some time yesterday, because of a cold snap, and spent some time in my craft room.  Here is a lovely card I made. I used some lovely digital doted paper, and flower I got in the Silhouette store. This digital paper is wonderful...with the paper piercing and chalking of the flower edges. Hope you like this one and come again soon to see what else I am working on. These are the challenges I am entering:  http://paper-craftingjourney.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/spots-andor-stripes-challenge.html http://dianamlarson.blogspot.com/2014/05/dlart-may-linky-challenge.html http://4kraftygirlzchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/challenge-17.html http://www.4craftychicks.blogspot.com/2014/05/paper-piecing-192-and-gdt-call.html

Today I am working on a file I just purchased from the Silhouette online store and a MOJO sketch. The mother of my good friend is sick and I wanted to send her and encouraging word.  I am getting the hang of making print and cut files….it is totally awesome. My portrait cut all this delicate work with no problem. I noticed I am getting a little white around the edges I guess I need to find out how to correct this problem, other wise it looks great. Thanks for stopping by....come again soon. Have a wonderful weekend. I will be entering this project in the following challenges: http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2014/01/mojo-monday-330.html http://ppp-makeitmonday.blogspot.com/2014/01/mim176-with-scrappers-delights-paper.html http://craftycatzweeklychallenge.blogspot.com/2014/01/challenge-216-anything-goes.html http://www.silhouettechallenges.com/2014/01/silhouette-challenges-9-anything-goes.html http://www.4craftychicks.blogspot.com/2014/01/4ccc-179-anything-goes-an...

I have been working on a new scrapbook page layout today and I wanted to share it with you.  I purchased it on the silhouette website and cut it with my portrait, and chalked all the edges.  I think it make the designs really stand out, especially the popcorn.  I left out one baseball because I want to do some journaling.     It was fairly difficult, I think because I had to set it up to cut on 8.5 X 11…I know it will be easier next time. The file is called at the ball park by ppbn designs.    I think it turned out super cute for my grandsons photos. I am so behind on getting my scrapbook done. I also purchased a super cute Christmas layout I plan on making next week. Hope you have a great weekend,  thanks for stopping by. These are the challenges I will be entering: http://acreativeromance.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/something-new.html http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.com/2014/01/challenge-76-use-chalk.html http://cardma...

Today I have been working with my Silhouette making a fall card.  I found this cut in the design store, super cute. I like the happy smiles on the pumpkins...not scary, and the wonderful vine. All the paper is from a DCWV neutrals stack, I have had this for a long time. I didn't use and background paper because I wanted to make the focus of the card the pumpkins.  I used my sketch pens on the label and a font called darkwood, I got it from dafont.com.  Lots of great fonts and dingbats here for free. I think it turned out nice, thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed this card and will come again soon. Have a great Wednesday, don't forget to attend you local Church service. I will be entering this card in the following challenges: http://www.scrappymoms-stamps.blogspot.com/2013/10/terrific-tuesday-challenge-silhouette.html http://cardztv.blogspot.com/2013/09/cardz-tv-go-to-galz-challenge-36-colors.html http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/2013/09/challenge...
