Today I am working on
getting my stash of birthday cards increased.
I had a small box of them in the car, just in case I forgot one while I
was out. You will never guess…my husband
thought it was a recycle item and put it in the dumpster. All that work gone,
so I am working to replenish my supply.
I used my silhouette to
cut most of the elements, I even used it to pen the sentiment. These flowers are given their shape by
spraying 4 layers of different shapes with ink mist and them scrunching them up
and, very gently, pulling them back out. They always look good. I added a
little bling to the centers. The
background it a SU die.
Hope you like it and will
come again soon.
Challenges entered:
Oh no! What a tragic story about your card stash getting trashed!! I guess if there's anything positive to say about them being put in the recycling bin, it's that I bet those cards were the prettiest things the recycling bin ever got to enjoy! And good job at starting over from scratch and creating this beautiful card. I really like how you did the hexagon die in the background and how you left some of the hexagons filled in. And of course, those flowers are GORGEOUS! I like how bright the sentiment is, too, and I'm sure whoever gets this card will have a happier birthday as a result of your talents. Now be sure to either hide your new cards or label them as "Treasure" so your well-meaning hubby doesn't put them in the dumpster again! Thanks so much for sharing your work with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
