Butterfly

Today I am working on my stamping.  I have had this swirl stamp for years, and have just now become reacquainted with it.    I love the way this turned out, nothing special. It didn’t take a lot of time to make, I like that.   I used sizzix dies for the butterfly, label and banner, then added a few Nuvo drops for accent. Hope you like this and stop by again sometime.

Lovely Flower

Today is a very wet cold day, so I decided to make a few cards for my stash.  I recently received several dies I purchased, just after Christmas, from eBay.  They are so nice and the cuts are wonderful. I must remember to put some sticky back on them though. They were very hard to get glued down.  There are several different dies represented in this card: Hero arts is the flower and bee, sizzix the wreath and the stems are off brand from china. Hope you enjoy and come again soon.

Life just gets so hectic….It has been a while since my last post. I am trying to get in shape. I didn’t realize how much time that takes away from the other things I like to do in my “free time”.    Today I am posting a wonderful card that I made using a silhouette store design, and a sizzix daises 2 flower cut.   This flower has a large hole in the center, so I filled it with a SU brad. I added some bling on the cut sections of the card base. Yellow is my favorite color, so I added a piece of shimmer yellow paper, behind the design. This turned out nice. Hope you like it and will come again soon.     Challenges entered: http://www.4craftychicks.blogspot.com/ http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/ http://dianamlarson.blogspot.com/2015/01/dlart-january-linky-challenge.html http://scrap-craft-inspiration.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/challenge-1-anything-goes.html http://ema-ginationstation.blogspot.com/2015/01/ag-ch-18.html http:...

Well I can tell that summer is upon us, Hot and dry Texas.  I have been very busy with swimming and a garden.  But I try and make time to spend in my craft room.  Today I made a beautiful card with a new sizzix flower die.  I start with white paper and then spritz, ink and curled the edges and finished it off with a crystal brad and a little heat embossing… Walla.  Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday, don’t forget to go to Church this evening. Thanks for stopping by. I will be entering this card in the following challenges: http://clearitoutchallenge.blogspot.com/2013/07/its-challenge-time.html http://dreamvalleychallenges.blogspot.com/2013/06/challenge-60-make-your-own-flowers-or.html

Happy, Happy Friday everyone hope you have a great weekend planed.   I hope to see some of my grand children play ball on Saturday.   I pulled out the ornamental Iron2 and flower shoppe cartridges today to make this card.   I also used SU paper, glossy accents and a little glitter. I went to JA Tuesday, they have some great savings on their craft items that are mostly 50% off, I really stocked up on adhesive.   I have tried a lot of different adhesives to close and put these rolled flowers on a card, a lot of them don’t hold very long, the flowers are just too heavy.   I have found that hot glue is the most reliable way to make it stay where you put it.    Hope you have a wonderful weekend. You can sure tell it is summer the grandkids are in the pool almost every day.   We have gotten some much needed rain this morning.   I saw the kids in the pool a little while ago and my grandsons teeth were chattering, he got out not long after that.   Today I am working on a card for my Mother’s birthday, she will be 77 on Saturday.   My sisters and I are going to surprise her with a gift she has wanted for years, can’t say now she looks at this. I have a package of these super nice K&Company flowers and they went very well with a sizzix die I had, all the paper is SU. Hope you have a wonderful remainder of the week. Thanks for stopping by. Wow it had been a long time since my last post. My mom has not been doing well and has had a few doctor appointments to go to after she got out of the hospital last week. I was going through some of my boxes, after moving last year I still have a lot of stuff packed away. After 30 years in one place you get a lot of STUFF, I am still sorting through it to see what I can give away. I found a few of photos that need to be put in the album. The first photo was taken outside the Grapevine community center in 2000. The second photo was taken in Rhome, TX at a Christmas get together. We haven’t changed much but we are still, even after 38 years, very much in love. I used flower shoppe for the flowers and cut a flourish from home accents and added some leaves from a sizzix die along with some pearls from say it in crystals.  The circle with hearts cut is a MTC file. Hope you have a wonderful remainder of the week. Thanks for stopping by. I will be entering this in...

This card was made for a color challenge at my creative time.   These are the flowers I made using the Flower Shoppe cart, the swirl is from a sizzix die, and the paper is from a mat stack from the Paper Studio.    I think it turned out very nice. I am entering this in a blog challenge: http://www.creativetimeforme.com/2012/03/monday-madness-imagine-that-color.html Hope you like this, have a great week.
