Today I am working on this super cute slider slim line card. I had a hard time figuring out how the die (that I purchased on Amazon) pieces went together (as there were no instructions in the package, but; a kind soul sent me a link to the u tube video. Today I am watching the video from Jennifer McGuire about new easy pop up cards. I though I would give it a try and create my own version in Silhouette Design. I have done several of these and I am still dismayed by the way the Cricut glitter vinyl sticks. It always comes up in one or two places (as you can see in the photo). Bottom left and bottom of K. It looks fantastic, but doesn't stay for very long. I push it down repeatedly, but to no avail. I hope someone has some insider info that can help. Thanks for stopping by.

Wow has it really been more then a year since I posted anything.  Yesterday I was looking around on the Cricut design space for some new cards to make. I found these 2 box cards for Access users. They turned out wonderful, although I think I will resize them to fit in an A2 envelope. They are a little crowded with print flowers, but look great. Hope you enjoy.

I had a chance to play with my September Hero Arts kit today.  This is what I made.

Today I a making some fall cards. I try to leave them blank, I can always add a sentiment later.  I really like the way this one turned out. I used Heartfelt creations dies and stamps for the flower, a Silhouette cut for the background and a concord & 9th die for the thank you.  I cut everything out of white paper and then add color from inks. I like being able to get just the right color. The background peper is from a DCWV fall stack. Hope you like this, I know I do. Today I am getting ready for this weekend.  My grandson is receiving his Eagle Scout certificate.  We are haveing a big party and I make a card I found in the silhouette store #73859.  It turned out great and I hope he likes it.  My daughter and I are also doing stars and flags to put in mason jars for the tables.  Here is what the card looks like. Today I am working on my stamping.  I have had this swirl stamp for years, and have just now become reacquainted with it.    I love the way this turned out, nothing special. It didn’t take a lot of time to make, I like that.   I used sizzix dies for the butterfly, label and banner, then added a few Nuvo drops for accent. Hope you like this and stop by again sometime.

Today I thought I would work on my stach of male cards.  It has always been hard for me to put together something for a guy.  I like feathers; however, I just can't seem to get them the way I want.  I thought, breafly, that I would use real feathers.  I know I can find some down by the water, I see them all the time. Today I am going to use a file from Silhouette design #78354. I cut everything in white card stock and then color washed the background and used embossing powder on the foreground.  I like the way it turned out and hope you do too. I have had this stamp set for a while, I tried several times to cut the stamped images with the Cricut and the Silhouette.  I didn't have any luck. the lines are too thin and the software just couldn't make out the images. I recently purchased the dies to go with it.  This is such a lovely stamp set. I used Distress inks on the flower, leaves and pens on the little details.   I really like the way this turned out.  The saw the original design on Pinterest.  The background cut file is from Silhouette. Today is a very wet cold day, so I decided to make a few cards for my stash.  I recently received several dies I purchased, just after Christmas, from eBay.  They are so nice and the cuts are wonderful. I must remember to put some sticky back on them though. They were very hard to get glued down.  There are several different dies represented in this card: Hero arts is the flower and bee, sizzix the wreath and the stems are off brand from china. Sorry I didn't get these posted prior to valentines; but I was busy making so many.  My daughter needed 12 and I had to make some for the girls at the office. They turned out so cute and I had a blast making them.  The file is a little difficult, the insert for the eyes is exactly the same size as the front of the box.  I cut them down by hand on each side and the bottom; however, if you had time, you could adjust them to be a perfect match. These are both Silhouette files, dogs are #89360 cats are #89222. I enlarged the box part to fit the entire mat and used a pen to write the sentiment. It was a perfect fit for 2 mini bags of M&Ms. Hope you like these, I am going to try and post more of my creations. So often I just make them and never post.  Have a great Monday.

This week I have been learning to do the new twist pop-up card design.  I recently purchased the Avery Elle; caroling critters stamps & dies. This set is super cute and I thought it would look good on a card like this.  I was right, this came out great.  It was a little tedious with all the folding, but well worth the effort. This week I am working on getting some card together to give to a friend. I recently purchased the Tim Holtz wildflowers thinlits.  This a DCWV paper pack is several years old, t he frame is a Silhouette cut. I cut the wildflowers twice and then cut the top to add to the green.  I love the way this turned out. Hope you come back again. Today I am making cards for my grand children's moms, my daughter and sons girlfriend.  I love these cute cut out cards I found in Design space. I added a little bling to make them pop. This week I am working on making boxes for the grand kids. I found a file I liked in the Silhouette design store, 57567.  I used some digital paper files and made the box 3 times. It cut beautify and went together very well.  I covered the window with acetate and then filled it with candy eggs.  The kids loved them, I know their teachers will to. Today I am making another valentine card. I got this one from the design store and then used digital paper from Miss Kate and 2 others. I have really been into using print and cut lately. I just like the way you can always find the right colors to fit my mood that day. I have several sets from Miss Kate. I took an envelope file and cut the top off, trimmed the sides, added color and then cut as 2 pieces.  I really like the way it turned out.
