I am attempting to get some early Christmas cards ready.   My daughter said that she needs about 10 and would like them all Santa.   Thanks to the Imagine and Santa’s village this will not be a problem.     I already have a few made.   I love using the building frames on the Imagine the fact that I can color them in to go with whatever paper I am using is awesome.   I always like to add a little glitter to make it sparkle along with a Dress it up button and some liquid pearls.  The paper is from the Paper Studio and Recollections Christmas stack. Thanks for stopping by hope you have a great week. I will be entering this in the following challenge: http://www.pinkcricut.com/2012/08/link-tuesday-17/?utm_source=Pink+Cricut+List&utm_campaign=33f494ef44-RSS_EMAIL_CAMPAIGN&utm_medium=email&mc_cid=33f494ef44&mc_eid=6314330ece http://cardpatterns.blogspot.com/2012/06/sketch-172-our-final-sketch.html

I am trying to get my scrapbook together for last year and put in a few photos of my granddaughter’s birthday at the pool.   I used the H20 for the people and the titles and some CM paper that I have had for a while, I think it is discontinued.   This turned out super cute, hope you like it too.  Have a great summer, what's left of it.                                                          photos have been greened out to protect the children . Thanks for stopping by hope you have a great week.    I will be entering this in the following challenge: http://2sisterschallengeblog.blogspot.com/2012/08/challenge-103.html http://www.paperplaytime.blogspot.com/2012/08/ch-81-h...

I was thinking of a fun summer time card to make today and got my life’s a beach cart. I made a few cuts from it, using my gypsy, and then decided on the sand pail.   I have had this Flower Soft sand for a while and wanted to put it to good use. Hope you enjoy this card and come back again soon. Thanks for stopping by hope you have a great week. I got around to working on more of the thank you cards yesterday.   This is another cut from the art nouveau cartridge they all turned out so nice.   This is the design from page 28.   I made it with the same colors that in the book, but I think it would look good in light blue as well. Thanks for stopping by hope you have a great week.   I will be entering this in the following challenge: http://ppp-makeitmonday.blogspot.com/ http://www.tammyscrapincorner.com/2012/08/weekly-challenge-22-show-us-your-bling_6.html http://atcswithattitude.blogspot.com/ http://joyfulstamper.blogspot.com/2012/08/inspire-me-fridays-70-anything-goes.html http://simplycreatetoo.blogspot.com/2012/08/challenge-19-anything-goes.html

I got around to working on my thank you cards yesterday.   Now that my daughter is working I am watching the grandkids.   We are having lots of fun swimming and playing around the house.   I love these cuts for the art nouveau cartridge they turned out so nice, this is the flower on page 31.   The first one I fixed using the template at 365 cards sketch 151.  The paper pack is DCWV latte matstack and some Martha Stewart pearls. Thanks for stopping by hope you have a great week. Yesterday I had a chance to work with my gypsy a while and get some cuts laid out from the Art Nouveau cart. These cuts are just wonderful and they turned out nice too. I prepared my machine with a new blade so that the thin cuts would come out well. I put them in my gypsy on different pages based on color. That way I could load one piece of paper at a time and gets lots of cuts, 9 in all. I did the same thing with the florals embellished cart and hope to get some good cuts from there in the next few days. In the next few days I will be putting together some cards. I noticed that the poppy and the rose are very different in the way they stand out. I will be inking all my edges on the next set, it really made a big difference. My church is having a fund raiser for a new building and I am making thank you cards.   Hope you enjoy this, these are beautiful cuts.   The rose on page 24 and the water lily on page 27 were cut at 2 inches; all the others were cut at 3 inch...

Wow it has been a while since my last post.   Summer is such a busy time, with the grandkids out of school and living right next door; we have such a great time.   Today I am working on a card for my best friend’s husband.   I found this stamp at M, I am not sure who they are by, I already took them out of the original package.   I used SU early espresso ink and DCWV “the natural stack” paper.   I always have a hard time with cards for guys; I just can’t find a good theme.   I used the computer for the sentiment and the inside of the card. Hope you like this and have a wonderful Wednesday.   I will be entering this in the following challenge: http://365cards.blogspot.com/2012/07/day-130-super-sketchy-sunday.html

You can sure tell it is summer the grandkids are in the pool almost every day.   We have gotten some much needed rain this morning.   I saw the kids in the pool a little while ago and my grandsons teeth were chattering, he got out not long after that.   Today I am working on a card for my Mother’s birthday, she will be 77 on Saturday.   My sisters and I are going to surprise her with a gift she has wanted for years, can’t say now she looks at this. I have a package of these super nice K&Company flowers and they went very well with a sizzix die I had, all the paper is SU. Hope you have a wonderful remainder of the week. Thanks for stopping by. Wow it had been a long time since my last post. My mom has not been doing well and has had a few doctor appointments to go to after she got out of the hospital last week. I was going through some of my boxes, after moving last year I still have a lot of stuff packed away. After 30 years in one place you get a lot of STUFF, I am still sorting through it to see what I can give away. I found a few of photos that need to be put in the album. The first photo was taken outside the Grapevine community center in 2000. The second photo was taken in Rhome, TX at a Christmas get together. We haven’t changed much but we are still, even after 38 years, very much in love. I used flower shoppe for the flowers and cut a flourish from home accents and added some leaves from a sizzix die along with some pearls from say it in crystals.  The circle with hearts cut is a MTC file. Hope you have a wonderful remainder of the week. Thanks for stopping by. I will be entering this in...

Today I am working on a few things.   I had time to take a photo of my craft room for the Cricut blog. Also as this week is teacher appreciation week I took some time to make a few cards for the grandkids. I stopped by the Subway and picked up some gift cards to go in them. Teachers do so much for the kids. Our children are with them almost every day, and they have such an impact on their young lives. It is so important that we support the good ones. I made a side step and then 2 regular A2 cards. I designed everything in the CCR and used carts: A Childs year, Doodlecharms and Locker Talk. These turned out super cute, I found some scraps of paper from a DWAV paper pack, long gone, and that had a school theme. Sorry that the top photo is so out of focus, I would retake the photos but that are already gone. Hope you have a wonderful evening and be sure to come again.

Today I am recycling a used coffee can to put my color pencils in.   I put an old mouse pad in the bottom so the points will not get broken on the metal bottom of the can.   This makes it much easier to find the color I am looking for.   I decorated it with flowers from walk in my garden cartridge and a butterfly from home accent.   Hope you have a great Wednesday.   Come back often and see what else I have made. My daughter only has one more semester of nursing school and she wanted me to make a card to give her instructor.   She will take her last class this fall, wished they offered it in the summer so she could get finished, so does she.     I found this cute image at http://www.pinkcatstudio.com/ .   I have been looking for something and just happened upon this one. Blue is the color of her college uniform so I tried to match it as close as possible.   I added a few flowers from the flower shoppe cartridge and a sentiment from TBBM2.   I used a spellbinder to cut out the digi print.   I like the way it turned out and I hope my daughter does also. Sorry I don't have more time for a post today, Mark is off and we are going to work on the shower.  I had a chance to make a card for my daughter in law, her birthday is next month. My mom finally felt better today so we went out to eat and to WM.   We didn’t stay long but at least she got out for a while.   I made a cute card today for several challenges.   This is a digi design that I got through free digital designs blog.   This is an awesome site, you can get lots of great designs (see side board for link).   B lack is the main pattern for this card with the pins and ribbon, but I used white pearls. I was a little worried about the pins sticking the person I will send it to Putting hot glue on the ends worked out well, I could not stick my finger after putting it on there.     I will be entering this in the following challenges: http://diecuttindivas.blogspot.com/2012/04/challenge-62-pearls-pins-punches.html http://shoppingourstash.blogspot.com/2012/04/shopping-our-stash-challenge-49-starts.html http://ribboncarouselchallenge.blogspot.com/2012/04/rcc50-anything-goes-with-there-she-goes.html http://celebratet...

I have not been feeling well this weekend, but today I am somewhat better.   This ever changing weather on north Texas is getting a lot of people sick.   My mom has had a cough for almost a month now.   I did squeeze in a little time in my craft room this afternoon and made this card.   I purchased this digi print online somewhere; I have had it a few years and don’t remember where I got it.   The flowers are Recollections, the paper is DCWV and a spellbinder die for the cut.   I used the sketch from simon says and the color challenge from cardz TV.   Thanks for stopping by hope you have a great remainder of a weekend. Well I finally have my house back.   All last week we had contractors in here putting the new ceiling up.   I looks great and I am glad to have more insulation in, as the hot weather will be here soon.   Today I found a photo of my husband and I from 2007 taken in front of our Church.   The paper is some I have had for several years, I don’t remember what stack it came from.   The yellow and flower mat are from SU along with the ribbon for the bow. The mat was made using elegant edges card and the bird is from give a hoot.   The flowers are from K&Company.   I think it turned out very nice and   I will be giving it a place in my current scrapbook.   I will be entering this in the following challenges: http://houseofgilli.blogspot.ca http://stuckonusketches.blogspot.com/2012/04/april-13-original-sketch-by-debbie.html http://gofishchallenges.blogspot.com/2012/04/go-fish-challenge-15.html http://2sisterschallengeblog.blogspot.com/2012/0...

Today I have been working on a card for the challenge at Die cut Diva and Paper playtime.      I used SU paper for the card base, old olive and even an SU stamp, Loads of Love.   The other paper is from my stash.   I used Prismacolor markers for my truck; however, I used a black pencil on the tires to bring out the textured paper in the tires.   Hope you like this, have a great evening.

Today I have been working on flowers from the Flower Shoppe cart and 2 SVG files I got at Birds Cards, http://www.birdscards.com/ .   She always has the most wonderful designs. The SVG file, rolled rose and rose leaf, I started out at 3 in an went down to 1.5, I made the leaf a half size smaller.   I cut them out of Megan Elizabeth Paper layers.  They turned out nice; however, the larger the rose the harder it is to turn down the petals.   I will have to use these on a box or other project, except the smallest one.   The pink Flower Shoppe ones are the scallop1 design, the yellow ones are the daisy 1 and the blue one is sunflwr 1.   They are all cut from standard white card stock and then colored with spritz I made from SU inks.   I did two sizes 2.5 in and 2 in, they turned out great and I can’t wait to use them.   This size is just right for a card.   Hope you like this, have a great weekend.

Today I have been working on rosettes, trying to get the right weight and height ratio. I think I got the hang of it, although my first few attempts were not very good.   Both were cut at 12 X 1.5, however, you can see that they are a different size.  The first one had about a 1/4 inch cut off with the edge cutter I used.  The second didn't cut any off but only cut the stars within the edge.    Both cards have a SU base of old olive.   The other papers are from DCWV and K&Company.   I don’t remember where I got this stamp.     I think these turned out very nice. Today we finally got totally moved out of the other house.   All cleaned up and ready for the new renters.     After that I worked on the first 2 flowers in the Flower Shoppe cart.   I got it a few weeks back when JA had it on sale.   I have been wanting it for a while and just picked it up.   I have to admit they did not turn out the way I thought.   I love the centers and think I will use them by themselves.   These are both cut at 3 inches an colored with SU inks. The light pink one I added some glossy accents and glitter, the darker one I spritz.     Hope you like these, have a wonderful day.
